Bio
Hyde has been living alone in a village that's been... safe, but, even after six years, isn't a home. He rarely speaks to anyone, and whenever someone wants to talk to him, he pushes them away. For six years, he's been stuck in this hazy routine of waking up, going about his day, maybe playing detective for the elderly villagers, journal his thoughts and doodle when he gets home, then back to sleep. His real home feels impossible to reach after a nightmare of a night that left him both physically and mentally scarred. He needs someone to break his safe, miserable routine.

Short Excerpt
Enjoy Hyde at his most chaotic, from book 1, chapter 4:
Rune walked up to him with a smile. “Morning, roomie.”
Hyde smiled back. “Hey, sleep well?”
“Like a log.” He got a can of blood out of the fridge that he’d put there last night, kept cool by the runes engraved on the wood of the fridge, then opened it.
But before he took a sip, he noticed what was in Hyde’s bowl. “Are you eating oatmeal with water?”
Hyde shrugged. “I’m out of milk.”
“Then get more milk.”
“There’s no market today!”
Rune threw his hand up in exasperation. “Who in the fuck makes oatmeal with water? I can’t even eat it and I know how wrong that is!”
“I don’t have anything else!” Hyde kept defending himself.
“You might as well eat it dry at that point.”
Hyde paused and squinted. “Not a bad idea.”
Rune glared. “That wasn’t a suggestion.” He finally took a sip.
“Too late.”
