Why I picked it up: So, I wanted to have a matching set of hardcovers of the whole series, and book 3 was coming out in a few months. On Amazon, I had pre-ordered the US hardcover of book 3, and I bought the matching books 1 and 2. Didn't turn out as I wanted, because apparently pre-ordering from Amazon is not a guarantee that you actually get the product. So I had to cancel the pre-oder, and I bought the UK hardcover from my local store, and I'm never pre-ordering on Amazon again. But now I have this edition of a book that I already owned, and I don't even have the matching set I wanted. (UK editions are prettier anyway, I might buy those hardcovers of books 1 and 2 someday)
