Personal info

Why I picked it up: I didn't, my mom did. This artist is Dutch and when this book was coming out, my mom saw her on a talk show. She and her art reminded her so much of me that she immediately bought the book. Even though my art, especially in 2018, was... not this.
(Also, yes I do have the Dutch edition, the cover is Dutch, in case you thought you were having a stroke trying to read the title.)

Overall opinion: Pretty good, art is pretty. Most of the advice given felt pretty basic to me and I wasn't interested in any of the exercises, but that's what you get when you get inspired differently, I guess.
Even though this isn't my favourite art book, it will always have a special place on my shelf because it was my very first art book.
